Publishing World

“Rhythm is one of the principal translators between dream and reality.” –Edith Sitwell
Publication design is a symphony. It encompasses a realm that extends from the spiritual to the physical world where we are openly mesmorized by the content within. It is noise and silence, calm and tense, dark and light. Each spread is a stroke painted, a chord struck, a poem written, and for it to flow with it’s counterparts, it’s even a blank page. From cover to cover a unique story unfolds. It’s what we mean when we say we are guided by rhythm as we embrace intuition.

Fred Ortiz Collection
2019 — 2023
From coffee table book to museum exhibition. This 66-page book is a narrative of Fred Ortiz’s relationship with the late Chicano artist Emigdio Vasquez. For 4 years we met and orchestrated Fred’s collection, memories, and memorabilia to create his story. The final crafted book caught the attention of Mark Hilbert and this collection of work was awarded a show, almost verbatim, in the new wing of the Hilbert Museum of California Art in February 2024.
